World is a place of multi professionals where people from various sectors procure an important place. Every sector has a significant role in the society and every profession an eminent requisite. The collaborative work of all the sectors together help in prosperity and influential growth of society. Every profession is a way to serve nation and every professional is doing the same . It takes blood, sweat and tears for the person to achieve the position and requires skill ,knowledge and intellect to serve the profession. So, every profession deserves deference and each person requires encouragement for diligence hard work and dedication to his profession.

But unfortunately in our stereotypical society no desirable respect is given to every profession. People act as being unaware of the assiduous efforts and hard work of persons attached to different professions and sectors of society. In our valley, the only profession to which people are concerned is the profession of “Doctor”. Right from childhood, from blessings to wishes children get well acquainted with the term doctor. Aim of almost 90% children in our society is to be a doctor because of the besieging environment and the communication they percieve around them. Each person is chasing the same field and can everything for the sake of the title “Doctor” without being least considerable about the desire and will of his/her own.
Everyone is becoming a player of this same race irrespective of consideration of skills, abilities and interests they posses. Parents in Kashmir only dream of their wards to be doctors and want their wards to fulfill it without taking into consideration the interest of ward. Even if a student tries the best to achieve a position in some other sector, society and the people even the well wishers will always let the person feel low because of selecting other profession over medical profession. He will be depressed by unremitting scornful words, under esteemed for choosing some other sector instead of encouraging him for his efforts, struggles which ultimately results in depression and finally devastation of the carrier of the students, community and society as whole. This whole situation is a result of the misapprehension that choosing a sector outside medical is nothing but a waste of money .Due to this other professions aren’t given the respect ,value they possess.
They receive ultimate respect only in quotes and sayings but on ground basis, particularly in Kashmir region other professions are neither given the value they deserve nor the respect they inhabit. If a person gives 10_11 years of life for the sake of his profession from bachelor's to masters and doctorate ,goes through books in number of libraries, explores several countries and achieves an honourable post, well earning placement, he will still be compared with a doctor. Students acquiring higher degrees who are Scholars, researchers are at times tormented by the talks of people for not being in the profession of doctor. So, how can one get inspired to invite own self to choose another profession, to fulfill own dreams.
This thing creates a huge barrier between students and their dreams. They aren’t able to stand for their own dreams and fulfill their own desires which creates a huge void in whole life. By these foolish acts, not only other professions but also the noble profession of doctor has become a cause of depression for many.By these acts the pious word” Doctor“ has become a tormenting and heart wrenching thing for many.
However the fact that the profession of doctor is noble ,esteemed, helpful in difficult and hazardous situation can’t be denied and needs huge respect but the only thing is that along with this sector due esteem should be given to other professions also. Regard the struggles and efforts every student and professional has to face. Don’t shatter dreams of your children for sake of the thing they aren’t interested in. Don’t make the profession doctor a business of deference. Respect every profession, value each sector along with that of doctor.
