
Ganderbal, May 7: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Ganderbal organised volleyball and kabaddi competitions for boys and girls across all four zones—Kangan, Ganderbal, Hariganwan, and Tulmulla—under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.
The activities witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who displayed remarkable sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline throughout the competitions. The programme was aimed at promoting physical fitness and encouraging youth to stay engaged in positive and constructive activities.
DYSSO Ganderbal, Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal, appreciated the active participation of boys and girls and lauded the efforts of field staff for the successful conduct of the events. He emphasized the importance of sports in building confidence, discipline, and a healthy drug-free lifestyle among youth.
The activities concluded successfully with a strong message promoting fitness, unity, and awareness against drug abuse.
