Shillong, Oct 9: Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, along with all ranks of the Force, extended warm greetings and best wishes to Territorial Army personnel on the occasion of the Territorial Army’s Raising Day.

In its message, Assam Rifles acknowledged the dedication, professionalism and service of Territorial Army personnel, who play an important role in supporting national security and assisting civil authorities during emergencies and natural disasters.
The Territorial Army has contributed to the nation’s defence and public welfare by supplementing the regular armed forces when required and supporting civil administration during challenging situations.
