Dimapur, Feb 9: Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General Assam Rifles, felicitated Dr K Vasu, a renowned Ayurvedic doctor and eminent practitioner of the Siddha system of medicine, at Headquarters Assam Rifles, Laitkor, Shillong, on 08 February 2026. The felicitation was held in recognition of Dr K Vasu’s outstanding contribution to the health and well-being of Assam Rifles personnel and their families.

Dr K Vasu, along with his dedicated medical team, conducted free medical consultations and holistic treatment sessions for serving Assam Rifles personnel and their dependents at HQ Assam Rifles, Laitkor, from 06 to 08 February 2026. The medical camp witnessed enthusiastic participation and benefited a large number of individuals seeking alternative and traditional healthcare solutions.
The initiative emphasized the importance of holistic healthcare by integrating traditional systems of medicine such as Ayurveda and Siddha, focusing not only on treatment of ailments but also on preventive care, lifestyle management and overall wellness. Personalized consultations and therapeutic guidance were provided to address both physical health and long-term well-being.
