Budgam, Feb 23: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat inaugurated the newly installed Hybrid Learning System at Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Kanir, marking a major step toward technology-enabled and inclusive education in the district.
The DC also delivered an inaugural lecture on the Periodic Table and Semiconductors, demonstrating the platform’s capacity for interactive, high-quality learning. The hybrid system connects over 15 schools across Budgam through a Hub-and-Spoke model, allowing subject experts to deliver live lectures in real time with two-way interaction, ensuring equitable access to expert teaching.
The initiative integrates 55 ICT laboratories and a Learning Management System (LMS) for tracking attendance, lesson delivery, student performance, and learning outcomes, reinforcing outcome-based education.
Dr. Bhat emphasized that the system promotes academic collaboration, resource optimization, and continuity of learning, particularly in geographically dispersed areas. He directed authorities to ensure regular monitoring, teacher training, and capacity building to maximize the platform’s benefits.
The Principal of BHSS Kanir expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting its potential to transform learning experiences. The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to modern, inclusive, and future-ready education for all students.
