New Delhi, Sep 18: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth, during his ongoing official visit to Russia, received a ceremonial Guard of Honour and paid homage at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow, honouring the sacrifices of soldiers who laid down their lives in service of their country.

As part of the visit, General Seth also visited the Russian Land Forces Headquarters, where he held interactions with senior military officials on matters of mutual interest.
The discussions focused on deepening military cooperation, expanding training engagements and strengthening capability development between the Indian and Russian armies.
The engagements provided an opportunity to discuss avenues for enhancing professional exchanges and strengthening institutional ties between the two armed forces.
The visit comes as India and Russia continue to maintain longstanding defence cooperation, including military-to-military exchanges, training and capability development.
The COAS’s engagements in Moscow underline the importance attached to sustained interaction between the two armies and exploring new avenues for strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.
