Aizawl, Feb 7: Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Duhoma met Lt Gen Abhijit S. Pendharkar, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, 3 Corps, today to discuss security, coordination, and regional development in the state.

The meeting reviewed border security arrangements and explored ways to strengthen civil-military cooperation for peace and stability. Both leaders emphasized coordinated efforts in disaster management, infrastructure development, and community welfare.
Discussions also covered youth engagement programs, improving local infrastructure, and promoting socio-economic development in remote and border areas. The Chief Minister acknowledged the Army’s role in maintaining security and supporting community initiatives.
Lt Gen Pendharkar reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to assisting civil authorities while maintaining operational readiness. The meeting concluded with a shared focus on enhancing cooperation between the state administration and the Indian Army for sustained growth and safety in Mizoram.
