
Jammu, Feb 12: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a review meeting on the progress of the DDU-GKY – HIMAYAT scheme in J&K, aimed at skill development and sustainable placement of rural youth.
During 2025–26, 1,589 candidates were trained under HIMAYAT 2.0, exceeding the target of 996, with 850 successfully placed. The scheme mandates at least 70% placement with a minimum monthly wage of ₹12,000 for project cost claims.
The Chief Secretary emphasized result-oriented monitoring, quality training, and enhanced outreach through initiatives like Kaushal Parv, Alumni Meets, and mobile awareness campaigns.
