
Srinagar, Aug 4: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) on Monday held its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) in Srinagar, bringing together business leaders, public representatives and government officials to discuss key issues related to trade, industry and economic development in Jammu and Kashmir.
Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani attended the meeting as the chief guest. MLA Tangmarg Farooq Ahmad Shah, MLA Eidgah Mubarak Gul, senior civil administration officials, representatives of civil society and members of the business fraternity also participated.
The meeting focused on trade facilitation, industrial growth, infrastructure development, entrepreneurship, investment and business-friendly policies aimed at boosting the Union Territory's economy.
Presiding over the event, CCIK President Tariq Ghani reiterated the Chamber's commitment to protecting the interests of the business community and strengthening collaboration between stakeholders and the government.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of Awards of Excellence to individuals and organisations for their outstanding contributions to trade, industry, entrepreneurship and public service.
The Chamber also inducted several new members, reflecting its expanding outreach and representation across Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting concluded with a pledge to further strengthen CCIK's role in promoting trade, industry, entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth in the region.
