Muzaffarpur, July 16: : In a major recognition of his academic leadership and scholarly expertise, the Vice-Chancellor of BR Ambedkar Bihar University, Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, has been formally invited by Nalanda University to participate in an exclusive, high-level roundtable discussion. The strategic session will take place at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on July 26.
The roundtable brings together select top academic leaders and members of the Executive Council of the Indian Association of Social Science Institutions (IASSI). This apex-level meeting serves as a precursor to a massive international IASSI conference scheduled at Nalanda University’s historic campus in Rajgir from October 26 to 28, 2026.
Expressing his appreciation for the invitation, Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai highlighted the critical role that advanced social science research plays in driving national development and policy formulation.
"It is a privilege to be invited to contribute to a forum that brings together some of the finest minds in social science," stated Prof. Rai. "This roundtable offers a crucial space to deliberate on the future direction of research in India. My focus during these sessions will be on how we, as educators and administrators, can elevate the standard of social science research, ensuring it directly addresses contemporary societal issues while meeting rigorous national and international benchmarks."
