The Bicycle man of India Neeraj Kumar Prajapati who is on a mission to educate the farmers of Jammu Division about Horticulture schemes, conducted an extensive tour of Reasi district. Chief Horticulture Officer and other officers and officials accompanied him.
Addressing farmers’ awareness camps at Mahore A, Mahore B and Budhan, he elaborated the benefits of the schemes of the Horticulture department more particularly of HADP. He advised the farmers to come forward and avail the benefits of the departmental schemes.
Earlier, Chief Horticulture Officer Rajinder Lochan explained in detail various government schemes aimed to promote the horticulture sector.
Demonstrations of the pruning of the Apple and other temperate trees, which is a necessary operation to get good quality and high production of fruits, was also held for the farmers.
