Baramulla police attach drug case vehicle

Baramulla, July 24: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and narcotics-related offences, Police in Baramulla have attached a vehicle involved in an NDPS case in accordance with the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

A Tata Punch (Model 2023) bearing Registration No. JK05L-7844, having an approximate market value of ₹3.70 lakh, has been attached in connection with FIR No. 214/2025 registered at Police Station Baramulla under Sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act. The attachment has been carried out under the provisions of Section 68F read with Section 68E of the NDPS Act, vide PS Baramulla Order No. 1562-69/5A/PSG/2026 dated 21.07.2026.
J&K Police reiterates its firm resolve to dismantle the financial infrastructure of drug trafficking by identifying and attaching properties and assets acquired through or used in the commission of narcotics-related offences. Such action is aimed at deterring individuals involved in the drug trade and strengthening the fight against the menace of narcotics in the district.
J&K Police remains committed to ensuring a drug-free society and urges the public to continue extending their support by sharing information about drug-related activities with the Police.
