Bandipora, April 17, 2026: Nazrana Ahsan, a young achiever from Bandipora, has brought pride to Jammu and Kashmir by emerging as the only girl from the district selected for the prestigious all-women Mock Youth Parliament held at SKICC during the MY Bharat Budget Quest 2026 (Grand Finale – Zone 1: J&K and Ladakh).

The two-day national-level event, held on April 12–13 and organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, was conducted under the theme “Nari Shakti: Viksit Bharat Ki Awaaz.” It brought together promising youth from across the country to engage in simulated parliamentary proceedings, governance discussions, and policy deliberations.
Nazrana secured her place in the finale after a highly competitive, multi-stage selection process that saw participation from over 12 lakh candidates nationwide. She cleared several rounds, including online quizzes and essay-based evaluations, demonstrating strong analytical and communication skills.
During the Youth Parliament sessions, she represented the Ministry of External Affairs and actively contributed to discussions on governance, diplomacy, and national policy. She also participated in the MY Bharat Budget Quest, focusing on financial awareness, budgeting, and policy-making, reflecting her keen interest in public affairs.
Beyond the parliamentary platform, Nazrana has an impressive academic and extracurricular profile. She is a published author of five books, including Shadowless Evening, Heartstrings Connected, The Gen Z Blueprint, The Fragile Art of Letting Go, and The Art of Unloving You.
She is also a national athlete and two-time national medalist in martial arts, holding a red belt. Her achievements in leadership and service have earned her recognition, including the DG NCC Medallion.
Nazrana has represented youth platforms at various national and international forums, including Model United Nations conferences and leadership dialogues. She has also served in key leadership roles, including Vice President for Jammu and Kashmir and former State Spokesperson of the All India Students Union.
Known for her public speaking and anchoring skills, she has consistently engaged in youth leadership initiatives and policy discussions. Her achievement at the Youth Parliament is being seen as an inspiration for young people, especially women, highlighting growing participation from districts like Bandipora in national platforms.
