Bandipora, Feb 15: Under the Swachhata Action Plan, awareness activities were conducted at PALAASH and PAREESHA CCI for Boys and Girls to promote environmental responsibility and reduce Single Use Plastics (SUP).

Students were encouraged to adopt sustainable alternatives, such as cloth bags instead of polythene, steel bottles instead of plastic bottles, and steel cups in place of disposable plastics. Interactive drawing and chart-making competitions reinforced the message, with students creatively expressing the importance of avoiding SUP.
Participants also took a collective pledge to abstain from SUP and spread awareness in their communities. The programme, supervised by officials from DCPU and CWC, concluded with appreciation for the students’ enthusiastic participation and the institutions’ efforts to promote sustainable living.
