Assam Rifles trains Agniveer aspirants

Aizawl, Aug 4: In a major initiative to promote youth empowerment and national service, the Assam Rifles, under Spear Corps, has launched a specialised Pre-Recruitment Training Programme for Agniveer aspirants at Zokhawsang in Mizoram.

The programme is aimed at preparing local youth for the upcoming Agniveer recruitment rallies by providing structured physical and motivational training.
At present, 41 aspiring candidates from different parts of Mizoram are undergoing intensive coaching designed to improve their physical fitness, endurance, discipline and overall competitive readiness.
Officials said the training includes physical conditioning, endurance-building exercises, drill practice and guidance to help candidates meet the recruitment standards of the Indian Armed Forces.
The initiative is part of the Assam Rifles' ongoing efforts to encourage youth participation in national service while creating better employment opportunities for aspiring candidates from the Northeast.
The force expressed confidence that the programme would equip participants with the skills and confidence required to perform successfully in the Agniveer recruitment process while inspiring more young people to pursue a career in the Armed Forces.
