
Imphal, Oct 9: Assam Rifles continued its multidimensional community engagement across Manipur, organising a security dialogue with village representatives, a friendly basketball match involving veterans and a cleanliness drive to promote public welfare, social bonding and environmental responsibility.
At Pallel Garrison, the Force held a security interaction with representatives from 11 villages to discuss local security concerns and community priorities, including healthcare and education.
The dialogue provided a platform for village representatives to share their concerns and discuss ways to strengthen coordination between local communities and security personnel. The interaction underscored the importance of community participation and regular communication in addressing local challenges and promoting peace and stability.
In another initiative, Assam Rifles organised a friendly basketball match involving veterans at Modi. The sporting event aimed to strengthen camaraderie, encourage healthy engagement and reinforce bonds among participants through sports.
Continuing its outreach on October 8, the Force conducted a Swachhata Abhiyan at Machi in Chandel district. Personnel actively participated in cleanliness activities to promote hygienic surroundings, environmental stewardship and responsible waste management.
The campaign highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining clean public spaces and encouraging sustainable practices among local residents.
