Assam Rifles, Spearhead Div organise Yoga sessions in AP

Itanagar, May 24: The Assam Rifles along with Spearhead Division under Spear Corps organised yoga sessions at Aalo and Pangsau Pass in Arunachal Pradesh as part of the countdown to the International Day of Yoga 2026.

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from troops, students, and local youth, highlighting the growing awareness of yoga as a practice for physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic health.
The sessions focused on encouraging participants to adopt yoga as a regular practice to improve strength, flexibility, concentration, and overall well-being. Army personnel guided attendees through various asanas and breathing techniques aimed at enhancing both physical endurance and mental calmness.
Officials said such activities are part of ongoing efforts by the armed forces to promote a healthy lifestyle among soldiers and civilians, particularly in remote and high-altitude regions
A large number of students and young participants joined the sessions with enthusiasm, reflecting increasing interest in yoga across the region. The involvement of local youth was seen as a positive step towards building awareness about health, discipline, and stress management.
Organisers highlighted that engaging young people in such initiatives helps strengthen community relations and encourages them to adopt constructive and healthy habits.
