Kiphire, July 28: Demonstrating its commitment to humanitarian service, the Assam Rifles promptly responded to an urgent blood donation request at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Pungro, Kiphire district of Nagaland, providing timely assistance during a medical emergency.

The incident took place on July 27, when a patient at the PHC urgently required a blood transfusion. Responding without hesitation, an Assam Rifles soldier voluntarily donated blood, ensuring that the patient received the life-saving support at a critical moment.
The swift response by the soldier not only helped address the immediate medical emergency but also highlighted the force's dedication to serving communities beyond its primary security responsibilities.
Officials said such humanitarian initiatives form an integral part of the Assam Rifles' outreach efforts across the Northeast, where the force regularly assists local communities through medical camps, emergency aid, disaster relief and civic action programmes.
