Assam Rifles rescues stroke patient in AP

Changlang, June 23: The Assam Rifles provided timely emergency medical assistance to a 52-year-old woman, Mrs. Mengngi Kuthing of Ranglum village, who was found in a critical condition showing symptoms of a suspected hemorrhagic stroke.

Upon receiving information, a Nursing Assistant along with a Quick Reaction Team (QRT) immediately reached the remote village and administered first aid and emergency stabilisation measures to the patient.
Due to the timely intervention and on-ground medical response, the patient’s condition was stabilised before she was evacuated to the Civil Hospital in Changlang district for further specialised treatment.
Officials said the prompt action highlights the Assam Rifles’ rapid response capability and its continued commitment to providing humanitarian assistance and medical support in remote and border areas where access to healthcare facilities remains limited.
Local residents appreciated the swift response, stating that such timely interventions often prove life-saving in geographically isolated regions.
