Champhai, Sep 11: The Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps organised an awareness lecture on the occasion of International Literacy Day at Agape School, Champhai, Mizoram, highlighting the importance of education in empowering communities and building a knowledgeable society.

The awareness session was attended by students and teachers of the school and focused on education as a fundamental right and a key pillar of individual and community development.
During the lecture, speakers highlighted the transformative role of literacy in improving access to opportunities, strengthening social awareness and enabling individuals to make informed decisions. The importance of education in shaping responsible citizens and contributing to nation-building was also emphasised.
Students and faculty members actively participated in the programme and engaged in meaningful discussions on the importance of education and literacy in contemporary society.
