Maram,, Feb 15: The Assam Rifles organised a solemn wreath laying ceremony at Maram in Manipur to honour the supreme sacrifice of Rifleman Alamba Ao (Late), who laid down his life in the line of duty on February 14, 1962.

The ceremony was conducted with full military honours, reflecting the force’s deep respect for its fallen heroes. Senior officers, personnel of Assam Rifles, and representatives from the local community gathered to pay floral tributes and observe a moment of silence in remembrance of the brave soldier’s courage and dedication.
Rfn Alamba Ao made the ultimate sacrifice while serving at Sakhavi village in Dimapur district of Nagaland in 1962. His unwavering commitment to duty and devotion to the nation continue to inspire generations of soldiers serving in the region.
