Changlang, , June 3: The Changlang Battalion of Assam Rifles paid solemn tribute to Rifleman (Late) Wadzapao Kuki during a wreath-laying ceremony held at Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh.

The ceremony was organised in honour of the brave soldier who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on June 2, 1960, at Imphal, Manipur, while fighting insurgent elements.
The proceedings commenced with the Commandant of the unit laying a wreath at the memorial as a mark of respect and remembrance for the fallen hero. Floral tributes were also paid by other ranks of the battalion, reflecting deep respect and gratitude for his sacrifice.
Addressing all ranks on the occasion, the Commandant highlighted the exemplary courage, unwavering devotion to duty, and supreme sacrifice of Rifleman Wadzapao Kuki. He recounted the inspiring story of the martyr, emphasizing the values of bravery and selflessness that continue to guide the force.
The tribute ceremony instilled a strong sense of pride, honour, and renewed commitment among the personnel, reinforcing the ethos of service and sacrifice upheld by Assam Rifles.
The battalion reaffirmed its resolve to uphold the legacy of its martyrs while continuing to serve with dedication in the line of duty.
