
Noney, Sep 12: The Assam Rifles organised a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Noney, Manipur, on September 12, to honour four bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty two decades ago.
The ceremony paid tribute to Havildar (Late) Kailash Prasad, Havildar (Late) M B Thapa, Rifleman (Late) D C Basumatary and Rifleman (Late) Bidya Sagar Ram, who laid down their lives at Mahadev Camp, Manipur, on September 12, 2006.
The wreath-laying ceremony was held as a mark of respect for the fallen personnel and their selfless service to the nation. Assam Rifles personnel remembered the courage, dedication and commitment displayed by the four soldiers during their service.
