Assam Rifles organises blood donation camp

Aizawl, June 1: Assam Rifles, in coordination with Civil Hospital Aizawl, organised a blood donation camp at Zokhawsang in Aizawl, Mizoram on June 1, 2026, as part of its ongoing community welfare and humanitarian outreach initiatives.

The camp witnessed active participation from Assam Rifles personnel, with a total of 49 soldiers voluntarily donating blood to support local healthcare needs and strengthen emergency blood reserves in the region.
The initiative was conducted in collaboration with Civil Hospital Aizawl authorities, ensuring proper medical supervision, screening, and safe collection procedures during the camp.
Officials from Civil Hospital Aizawl appreciated the selfless contribution of the troops, noting that such initiatives play a crucial role in maintaining adequate blood supply for patients in need, particularly during medical emergencies and critical care situations.
