Ukhrul, Manipur, Feb 27: Under Operation Sadbhavana, the Assam Rifles, operating under Spear Corps, inaugurated a new Community Hall at Girihang in Ukhrul district, aiming to strengthen local infrastructure and promote social cohesion.

The hall, built with modern amenities, will serve as a venue for cultural programs, educational workshops, community meetings, and public events, providing residents a dedicated space for social interaction and development activities.
During the inauguration, Assam Rifles officers highlighted the importance of civil-military cooperation and stated that such initiatives foster trust, dialogue, and partnership between security forces and local communities. Villagers expressed appreciation for the facility, noting that it would play a key role in community engagement and youth development.
The project reflects the broader objectives of Operation Sadbhavana, which focuses on winning hearts and minds, supporting development, and creating opportunities for education, health, and skill-building in remote areas of Manipur and other Northeast regions.
