Bishnupur May 12: The Red Shield Division and Assam Rifles under Spear Corps commemorated the anniversary of Operation Sindoor through a series of awareness and youth engagement programmes across Manipur and Nagaland, focusing on strengthening patriotism, national unity, and youth participation.

The events were organised at Kwakta in Bishnupur district of Manipur and AR High School in Tuensang, Nagaland, where students took part in interactive sessions and educational activities aimed at fostering awareness about the significance of national security, discipline, and civic responsibility.
As part of the celebrations, drawing and essay writing competitions were conducted for students, encouraging them to express their thoughts on themes related to patriotism, unity in diversity, and creativity. Officials said the activities were designed to channel the energy of young minds in a positive direction and strengthen their emotional connection with the nation.
During the interactive sessions, Assam Rifles personnel engaged with students, sharing insights on the importance of national service, teamwork, and maintaining peace and harmony in society. The speakers also motivated students to pursue education and sports as tools for personal growth and nation-building.
Teachers and local participants appreciated the initiative, stating that such programmes help in building awareness among youth and instilling values of discipline, responsibility, and respect for the nation.
