Imphal, Nov 4: The Assam Rifles Men's Polo Team clinched the 39th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament 2026 title, defeating X Polo Club 5–3 in the final at Imphal East district, Manipur.

The tournament, which commenced on October 12, witnessed participation from 36 teams and attracted more than 1,000 polo enthusiasts, reflecting the sport's enduring popularity in Manipur.
The Assam Rifles team displayed impressive horsemanship, tactical awareness and discipline throughout the competition, culminating in a convincing victory in the title clash.
The final against X Polo Club was marked by competitive play, with the Assam Rifles players maintaining their composure and combining individual skill with coordinated team effort to secure the 5–3 win.
