
Imphal West, July 27: Assam Rifles participated in the 2nd edition of the D-16 Youth Summit 2026, organised by Project Generation Foundation in collaboration with Manipur University Students’ Union at Manipur University, Imphal West, from July 25 to 27.
As part of the summit, a Defence Technology and Military Exposure Session was conducted on July 26, providing 150 participants, including 130 students and 20 teachers, with insights into modern defence capabilities and opportunities in the Armed Forces.
During the session, Assam Rifles showcased advanced military equipment and briefed the participants on emerging defence technologies, including drone systems, artificial intelligence, and initiatives under Aatmanirbhar Bharat aimed at strengthening indigenous defence capabilities.
The interaction also highlighted career opportunities in the Armed Forces and encouraged young participants to pursue innovation, discipline, leadership and a spirit of service towards nation-building.
The initiative reflected Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to engaging with youth, promoting awareness about defence technologies, and inspiring the next generation to contribute towards a stronger and self-reliant India.
