Assam Rifles hosts Yoga session

Noney, April 28: Assam Rifles organised a yoga-cum-meditation session at Dreamy International School, Khoupum Valley, in Noney district, as part of its ongoing youth outreach and wellness initiatives.

The programme, held on April 28, 2026, witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 110 students who were guided through various yoga asanas and meditation practices aimed at improving physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional balance.
Instructors from Assam Rifles demonstrated basic yoga postures and breathing techniques, followed by a guided meditation session designed to help students manage stress and improve focus in daily academic life.
Officials said the initiative aligns with the broader objectives of the Fit India Movement, promoting healthy lifestyle habits and holistic development among young students, particularly in remote and border areas.
Teachers and school authorities appreciated the effort, noting that such programmes play an important role in building discipline, concentration, and overall well-being among children.
Assam Rifles reiterated its commitment to continue conducting similar awareness and wellness activities in educational institutions across the region to encourage a healthier and more active younger generation.
