
Shalluk, Feb 15: In a proactive effort to strengthen peace and stability in Manipur, the Assam Rifles convened a series of security coordination meetings with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and village authorities representing the Naga and Kuki communities. The initiative underscores the force’s impartial role in promoting dialogue, trust, and cooperation across sensitive districts of the state.
The meetings, held at Shalluk in Chandel District, brought together representatives from eight Naga CSOs and seven Kuki CSOs. Assam Rifles personnel facilitated open discussions on local security challenges, community concerns, and strategies to maintain peace amid ongoing tensions between the two communities.
Officials emphasised the importance of fostering mutual understanding, resolving misunderstandings, and working collaboratively to prevent conflict.
