
Kohima, Oct 9: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Spear Corps, organised the Military–Civil Fusion 2.0 Seminar 2026 in Kohima, Nagaland, to strengthen coordination between the military, civil administration, police and government departments on issues concerning regional security and development.
The seminar brought together senior military officers, administrative officials, police representatives and departmental leaders to deliberate on strengthening institutional cooperation and improving coordination in addressing challenges affecting the region.
The discussions focused on regional security, maintenance of law and order, access to healthcare and other issues requiring coordinated efforts by military and civilian institutions.
Participants emphasised the importance of effective communication, information-sharing and collaborative planning to ensure a coordinated response to emerging challenges while supporting the welfare and development needs of local communities.
The deliberations also highlighted the role of civil-military cooperation in addressing public concerns, improving access to essential services and creating an enabling environment for peace, stability and progress in the Northeast.
The Military–Civil Fusion initiative seeks to bring together the capabilities and expertise of security forces and civil institutions to strengthen governance, improve service delivery and promote regional development through a coordinated approach.
