Assam Rifles holds ex-servicemen outreach in Assam

Pailapool, Assam, June 20: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps organised an Ex-Servicemen Outreach Programme at Pailapool, Assam, aimed at extending welfare support and medical assistance to veterans and their families.

The initiative witnessed the participation of a large number of ex-servicemen and their family members, who were provided dedicated healthcare services, medical consultations and welfare-related assistance during the event.
Officials said the programme was conducted in line with the Indian Army’s continued commitment towards the welfare of its veteran fraternity, ensuring that their service and sacrifices are honoured through sustained support mechanisms.
The outreach also served as a platform for interaction between serving personnel and veterans, allowing sharing of concerns related to healthcare, pensions and welfare schemes.
Assam Rifles personnel reaffirmed their commitment to standing by ex-servicemen and their families, reflecting the core ethos of care, gratitude and responsibility towards those who have served the nation.
The initiative was appreciated by attendees, who expressed gratitude for the timely medical aid and attention provided at their doorstep.
