Imphal, May 2: Assam Rifles, in collaboration with District Hospital Tamenglong, organised a blood donation camp at Tamenglong, Manipur, on April 30, 2026, to support the local healthcare system and strengthen available blood reserves.

The initiative aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation and ensuring timely availability of blood for patients in need across the district. A total of 20 individuals voluntarily participated and donated blood during the camp.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of medical staff from District Hospital Tamenglong along with Assam Rifles medical personnel, ensuring adherence to all prescribed health and safety protocols.
Officials stated that such initiatives play an important role in strengthening community healthcare support systems while encouraging citizens to actively contribute to life-saving medical needs through voluntary donation drives.
