Shillong, Feb 28: The Assam Rifles proudly celebrated the successful conclusion of the 4th Assam Rifles Sentinels Cup Football Tournament 2026 on February 27 at Shillong, Meghalaya. In a thrilling women’s category final, the Assam Rifles FT Women’s Team clinched the coveted title with a 2–1 victory over Laitkor SC, showcasing exceptional teamwork, discipline, and determination.

The champions received the prestigious Sentinels Cup Trophy and a cash prize of ₹3 lakh, inspiring young athletes across the North East. The grand finale and closing ceremony were graced by Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, as Chief Guest. Senior officers of Assam Rifles, civil dignitaries, sports officials, and enthusiastic spectators added prestige and grandeur to the event.
