
Shillong, April 18: The Assam Rifles under Spear Corps felicitated three outstanding students from the Riflemen Bevela Lushai Academic Centre for Excellence on 13 April 2026, recognising their academic achievements and dedication to competitive exam preparation.
The students honoured included Alicia Malsawmsangi and Sumeon Vanneihthang for their focused preparation for NEET, while Ramdinsanga was recognised for his performance in the JEE examination. The felicitation ceremony was conducted by Brigadier Puspendar Sorayan, Deputy Inspector General, 23 Sector Assam Rifles, who presented awards and encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence in their academic pursuits.
The programme was followed by an interactive and cultural session, where the students also engaged with specially abled children from Shalom Special School during an educational tour to Shillong.
