Mon , June 3: Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp along with distribution of medicines at Yangkhao Village in Mon district, Nagaland, as part of its ongoing community welfare and outreach initiatives in remote regions.

The camp witnessed active participation from residents of Yangkhao village as well as neighbouring villages of Obey, Tamkoang, and Pessao, highlighting the strong community response to the initiative.
During the camp, civilians were provided with medical consultations, general health check-ups, and free medicines for various ailments. A total of 192 villagers benefited from the healthcare services offered during the event.
In addition to medical assistance, awareness was also created among the villagers regarding healthy lifestyle practices, balanced dietary habits, and the importance of preventive healthcare in maintaining long-term well-being.
Medical staff and Assam Rifles personnel worked in coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the camp and effective delivery of healthcare services to the local population.
The initiative provided much-needed medical support to residents in the remote area and reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ continued commitment towards improving community health and strengthening outreach in far-flung regions.
Local residents appreciated the efforts, noting that such camps play a crucial role in addressing basic healthcare needs in geographically challenging areas where access to medical facilities remains limited.
