Churachandpur, Oct 15: The Assam Rifles extended support to Agape High School, Sangaikot, in Manipur’s Churachandpur district during its Annual Games and Sports Function held on October 12, 2026, encouraging sports participation and physical education among students.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 324 students, providing them an opportunity to demonstrate their sporting abilities, teamwork and competitive spirit.
As part of the initiative, the Assam Rifles distributed sports equipment to the school to encourage greater participation in games and physical activities. The support is aimed at helping students develop sporting skills, maintain physical fitness and cultivate values such as discipline, cooperation and sportsmanship.
Sports play an important role in the overall development of children, promoting physical well-being while helping them build confidence, teamwork and leadership qualities. Access to adequate equipment can also encourage students to participate more actively in extracurricular activities and explore their sporting potential.
