Likabali , July 5: In a step towards promoting national integration and youth empowerment, the Spearhead Division under the Spear Corps organised an educational tour at Likabali in Arunachal Pradesh under Project NAVBHARAT, welcoming 167 students and 14 teachers from Jogesh Gohain High School, Dhemaji, Assam.

The initiative was aimed at providing young students with firsthand exposure to the functioning of the Indian Army while fostering a spirit of patriotism, nation-building, and responsible citizenship among the youth.
During the visit, the students interacted with Army personnel and gained insights into the Army's operational role, humanitarian responsibilities, and contribution towards safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and supporting development in border regions.
The participants were introduced to various aspects of military life, including discipline, leadership, teamwork, and the values that define the armed forces. Army personnel also highlighted career opportunities in the defence services and encouraged students to strive for excellence and contribute meaningfully to the nation.
Officials said the educational tour formed part of Project NAVBHARAT, an initiative designed to connect the youth with the armed forces, broaden their horizons, and strengthen the bond between the Army and the civilian population, particularly in the North East.
The students and teachers expressed gratitude for the opportunity, describing the visit as an enriching and inspiring experience that enhanced their understanding of the Indian Army's role beyond security, including its contribution to nation-building and community development.
The programme concluded with an interactive session and motivational address, leaving the students inspired by the ideals of service, discipline, and national unity. The initiative reaffirmed the Indian Army's continued commitment to nurturing young minds, promoting national integration, and empowering the next generation through meaningful educational outreach programmes.
