Silchar, Sep 30: Reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of veterans and their families, a formation of the Indian Army under Spear Corps organised an Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Rally at Silchar in Assam.

The rally was attended by Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris from various services, providing them an opportunity to interact with Army representatives and raise issues concerning their welfare.
Key concerns relating to pension, welfare schemes and other veterans’ entitlements were discussed during the event. The initiative also provided a platform for veterans and their families to seek assistance and clarification on matters affecting them.
Army representatives listened to the concerns raised by the participants and reiterated the force’s commitment to extending support to its veteran fraternity.
The rally underscored the enduring bond between the Indian Army and its veterans, recognising their service and sacrifice while reaffirming continued institutional support for them and their families.
The event also highlighted the Army’s ongoing efforts to maintain close engagement with the veteran community and address their concerns through dedicated welfare initiatives.
