Itanagar, May 7: Dao Division under Spear Corps conducted a comprehensive outreach programme during Ex-Servicemen Saptah at Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh on May 5, 2026, reaffirming the Indian Army’s commitment to veteran welfare and support for their families.
The event brought together multiple welfare initiatives under one platform, including a medical camp, mental health awareness session, grievance redressal counters, and access facilitation to Canteen Stores Department (CSD) services. The programme collectively benefited around 480 ex-servicemen and their dependents.
Medical officers provided health check-ups and consultations, addressing age-related ailments and ensuring timely medical guidance for veterans. The mental health awareness session focused on stress management, emotional well-being, and support systems available for retired personnel and their families.
Dedicated grievance redressal counters were set up to resolve pension-related queries, documentation issues, and other service-related concerns on the spot, ensuring quicker administrative assistance. Veterans were also assisted with CSD-related facilitation to improve access to essential goods and services.
Officials stated that the initiative was aimed at strengthening the bond between serving personnel and veterans while ensuring that the welfare needs of ex-servicemen and their families are addressed in a structured and timely manner.
The outreach drive reflects the Army’s continued focus on honouring its veterans and reinforcing institutional support systems for those who have served in the armed forces.
