February 04, 2026 | BK News Service

Zakhama, Feb 3: On the occasion of the 85th Army Dental Corps Day, the Indian Army, under the aegis of Spear Corps, organized a special dental camp for NCC cadets at Zakhama Military Station.

The initiative included an Oral Cancer Awareness lecture aimed at educating cadets about the early signs, preventive measures, and importance of maintaining oral hygiene. Following the lecture, a detailed dental inspection was conducted for the students, ensuring early detection of dental issues and promoting long-term oral health.
Officials said the camp was part of the Army Dental Corps’ ongoing efforts to raise awareness about dental care, preventive health, and overall well-being among youth and future leaders. The programme also encouraged NCC cadets to adopt healthy oral habits and act as ambassadors of dental health awareness within their communities.
The event highlighted the Army’s commitment not only to operational readiness but also to community engagement and health education, reinforcing the broader role of the forces in promoting wellness and preventive healthcare.
