Jammu, April 12: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, visited the strategically significant Rampur Sector in Jammu to review the prevailing security environment and the effectiveness of the counter-terrorism grid in the region.During the visit, the Army Commander held detailed deliberations with representatives of the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and other security agencies. The discussions focused on the current security scenario, emerging challenges, and measures to further strengthen coordination among the forces.

Lt Gen Pratik Sharma emphasised the need for focused and concerted joint efforts, enhanced synergy, and seamless operational alignment among all security stakeholders. He underscored that sustained cooperation and intelligence sharing are vital to achieving the goal of a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.
The Army Commander also appreciated the professionalism and dedication of the security forces in maintaining peace and stability in the region, and urged all agencies to continue working in close coordination to effectively counter any threats.
