Leh, Oct 28: Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Wednesday visited Kargil and Batalik sectors of Ladakh and reviewed the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the strategically important areas.

"Lt Gen Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, visited the Forever in Operations Division on October 28-29 and reviewed the operational preparedness of troops deployed in Kargil and Batalik Sectors," Northern Command said on X.
The two sectors, characterised by challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions, are guarded by battle-hardened troops of the Indian Army.
Interacting with the personnel, the Army Commander appreciated their professionalism, high morale and unwavering commitment to the nation, it said.
He exhorted the troops to continuously refine their tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) while harnessing cutting-edge technology to maintain operational superiority, the Army said.
