Itanagar, Nov 2: A 12-day Army Attachment Camp for Senior Division (SD) NCC cadets concluded at Rayang Military Station in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh under the aegis of Spear Corps, providing young participants first-hand exposure to military training and operational skills.
The camp was aimed at familiarising NCC cadets with the functioning, discipline and professional ethos of the Indian Army while developing leadership, teamwork and a spirit of national service.
During the programme, cadets underwent practical training in New Generation Weapons (NGW) and New Generation Equipment (NGE). They were also introduced to drone simulator training and other military skills, offering them an insight into the growing role of modern technology in defence preparedness.
The hands-on sessions enabled participants to understand the importance of discipline, coordination, adaptability and precision in military operations.
The camp also provided an opportunity for cadets to interact with Army personnel and experience the values that define military life, including courage, commitment, teamwork and selfless service.
The exposure programme was designed to bridge the gap between classroom-based NCC training and practical military experience, while motivating young participants to develop confidence, leadership qualities and a sense of responsibility.
The successful conclusion of the camp reflected the Indian Army's continued efforts to engage with youth and strengthen the bond between the armed forces and the younger generation.
The initiative also encouraged cadets to embrace the spirit of service to the nation and contribute positively to society.
