Tuting, Aug 22: Formations of the Spear Corps organised a community interaction at Government Town Secondary School, Tuting, Arunachal Pradesh, on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, promoting empathy, harmony and the spirit of service among students and the local community.
The programme brought together students, teachers and Army personnel, providing a platform for meaningful interaction and dialogue. The engagement focused on strengthening community ties and encouraging values of compassion, cooperation and service among the younger generation.
The interaction also highlighted the Indian Army’s continued engagement with communities in remote and strategically important areas of the Northeast. Such initiatives provide opportunities for personnel to connect directly with local residents, understand community concerns and encourage a sense of mutual trust and cooperation.
For the students, the programme offered an opportunity to interact with Army personnel in an informal and constructive setting. The engagement encouraged them to appreciate the importance of humanitarian values, social responsibility and peaceful coexistence.
The participation of teachers further added to the significance of the programme, with the school serving as a platform for bringing together young citizens and security personnel.
The initiative reflected the broader emphasis of the Army on community outreach and people-centric engagement, particularly in remote areas where such interactions can help strengthen social bonds.
By marking World Humanitarian Day through direct community engagement, the Spear Corps reaffirmed the importance of compassion and service beyond conventional security responsibilities.
The programme concluded with an emphasis on continued interaction and cooperation between the Army and local communities, reinforcing the enduring bond between the Indian Army and the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
