
Imphal, Oct 4: Formations under the Spear Corps are continuing community-oriented initiatives in Manipur, focusing on improving basic infrastructure and living conditions in remote areas under the Indian Army’s Operation Sadbhavana.
As part of the initiative, 2,000 metres of water supply pipes were provided to Khunkhu Kuki village, aimed at strengthening access to essential water infrastructure and addressing the needs of the local population.
In a separate initiative, 200 solar street lights are being installed in phases in Bishnupur under a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. The project is expected to improve illumination in public areas while promoting the use of clean and renewable energy.
The initiatives are part of the Army’s broader efforts to support communities through development-oriented projects and strengthen engagement with the local population.
The provision of water infrastructure and installation of solar lighting are aimed at addressing basic civic needs while contributing to improved public amenities and community welfare.
