Imphal, Oct 29: Assam Rifles, under Spear Corps, in coordination with Manipur Police, recovered two major concealed arms caches in Thoubal and Imphal East districts of Manipur, seizing 18 weapons, ammunition and other war-like stores.

In a separate joint operation in Kakching district, security forces apprehended an active cadre of a proscribed organisation allegedly involved in raising funds.
The operations form part of ongoing efforts by security forces to curb the availability of illegal arms, disrupt the activities of prohibited groups and strengthen security across the state.
The recovery of the weapons and ammunition is expected to support efforts to prevent their potential misuse and maintain public order.
Assam Rifles and Manipur Police reiterated their commitment to peace, stability and public safety in the region through coordinated intelligence-based operations.
