Imphal, Aug 29: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in coordination with Manipur Police, conducted joint operations across Churachandpur, Kakching and Imphal West, resulting in the apprehension of three active cadres linked to different insurgent groups.

The coordinated operations were carried out as part of ongoing efforts by security forces to strengthen operational synergy and disrupt insurgent networks operating in the state.
According to officials, the three apprehended cadres were associated with the United Kuki National Army (UKNA), United People’s Party of Kangleipak (UPPK) and United National Liberation Front (Kangleipak) or UNLF (K), respectively.
The operations across multiple districts underline the importance of coordinated intelligence gathering and joint action in addressing security challenges in Manipur. The involvement of Assam Rifles and state police enables security agencies to combine their operational capabilities and respond more effectively to emerging threats.
