Ganderbal, Sep 4: The final of the Inter-Semester Cricket Tournament organised by the Department of Law, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir), witnessed an exciting clash between The Apex 11 and The Ninth Semester at the varsity’s Tulmulla campus.

In the final match, the Apex 11 emerged victorious by 53 runs, lifting the championship title. Batting first, The Apex 11 posted a formidable total of 160 runs. In response, The Ninth Semester were bowled out for 106 runs, handing The Apex 11 a convincing victory.
Victorious The Apex 11 were led by Yasir Ganderbali, whose captaincy guided the team to the championship title. The team displayed teamwork, discipline, determination and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
The final ceremony was graced by Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir, Registrar, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Mir, Head and Dean, School of Legal Studies; Dr. Kaukab Azeem, Director Sports; and Dr. Imran Ahad, Sports In-charge, Department of Law, along with other faculty members, officials and guests.
The dignitaries congratulated both teams for their performances and appreciated the spirit of healthy competition, discipline and sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament. They also highlighted the important role of sports and extracurricular activities in promoting physical well-being, teamwork, leadership and the overall development of students.
The Department of Law congratulated The Apex 11 on their victory and appreciated The Ninth Semester for their spirited performance and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. The Department expressed its gratitude to the Department of Physical Education for its support in making the tournament a success.
