The Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulama J&K and J&K Muslim Personal Law Board convened a critical media briefing today, with Aga Syed Hassan Mousvi Safvi, president of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharia Shian, taking a resolute stand against divisive rhetoric. The gathering, which included prominent Shia and Sunni religious scholars, called for unity and peace within the Muslim community, stressing the urgent need to reject sectarianism.
Aga Syed Hassan Mousvi Safvi declared that anyone found making anti-Shia or anti-Sunni remarks would be blacklisted and face strict consequences. He emphasized that such remarks only serve to weaken the unity cherished by revered figures such as Sarkar Ayatollah Aga Syed Mahdi (RA) and Ayatollah Aga Syed Yousuf (RA).
“The Aga family has always been at the forefront of preserving Islamic brotherhood and fostering communal harmony,” he remarked, highlighting the family’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the unity of the Muslim community.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the commitment to combat sectarianism and promote understanding, underlining that Islam has no room for hatred or division.
